Polly the Parrot’s Colorful Classroom Adventure
Posted by Ed Shapiro on

One bright morning, Polly the Parrot soared into Ms. Luna’s classroom. Her rainbow feathers sparkled like magic, and her beak curved into a warm, friendly smile.
“Good morning, little learners!” Polly chirped. “I’m here to explore your colorful classroom rug and see what wonderful things we can learn together!”
The children gathered around, eyes wide with excitement. Polly hopped from a bright red circle to a sunny yellow one. “This red circle is for being brave,” she said. “When I stand on red, I feel strong and ready to learn.”
Then she flapped her wings and glided to a green circle. “Green is for growing. Just like plants, we grow our minds and hearts every day!” Polly wiggled her toes, making the children giggle.
Next, Polly twirled around on a sky blue circle. “Blue is for being calm,” she cooed. “When I’m on blue, I take a deep breath and find my happy place.”
Finally, Polly settled on a purple circle. “Purple is for kindness,” she said with a sparkle in her eye. “When I stand here, I think of ways to help my friends.”
The children clapped and joined Polly, hopping from circle to circle, each one bursting with color and meaning. They played games, shared stories, and laughed together as Polly cheered them on.
At the end of the day, Polly fluffed her feathers and perched on the teacher’s shoulder. “Remember, every color has a feeling,” she said softly. “And every circle is a place for your dreams to grow.”
With a final cheerful chirp, Polly soared out the window, leaving behind a classroom filled with smiles, bright colors, and hearts full of wonder.
