Miss Bubbles Teaches on an Alphabet Carpet
Every morning in her bright blue classroom, Miss Bubbles arrives early. Her shoes make a soft tap-tap. And on the floor, the Alphabet Bubbles Rug waits — every letter with its own story to tell.
Miss Bubbles isn't just any teacher. She's the keeper of the Alphabet Bubbles Rug, a magical mat where every letter has its own personality, and every child has a story worth hearing.
Every morning, long before the bell rings, Miss Bubbles arrives in her bright blue classroom. Her shoes make a soft tap-tap across the floor as she sets down her favorite mug, the one covered in floating letters that seem to dance if you look closely enough. She hangs her coat. She tidies her desk. And then she looks at the rug.
The Alphabet Bubbles Rug stretches across the center of the room, its letters arranged in cheerful circles, each one waiting. Miss Bubbles believes the letters are always the first to arrive, even before she is.
"Good morning, my brilliant bubbles!"
The Letters Come Alive
When the children gather for circle time, Miss Bubbles gives her cheerful wave, the one where all five fingers wiggle at once. Today's adventure might start with A for amazing apples or Z for zooming zebras. No one ever knows where the bubbles will lead. That's part of what makes Mondays feel like opening a present.
The Whisperer
"Ee whispers about elephants who love to eat eggplants," Miss Bubbles says, leaning in like it's a secret.
The Hummer
"Mm hums like a happy melody," she says, and the class hums along, even the ones who were yawning a moment ago.
The Encourager
"When someone's feeling shy, Yy reminds them to say yes to learning something new."
Every Letter Holds a Story
Miss Bubbles uses games, songs, and giggles to make reading and writing feel like a grand adventure. Sometimes she calls out a letter and the class races to point to it on the rug, the first one there earning the honor of telling the class one thing that starts with that letter. Sometimes she walks along the rug herself, stepping from bubble to bubble like they are stones crossing a creek.
She believes every letter holds a story waiting to be told, and every child has a story worth hearing. Those two beliefs, she would tell you, are not so different from each other.
The Day's Last Bubble
When the day ends, the rug settles down, its bubbles glowing softly under the classroom lights. Miss Bubbles waves goodbye from the doorway. She knows that tomorrow, a new word — maybe wonderful or whimsical — will bubble up to begin the day.
And as her students leave, they carry a little bit of her magic with them. The kind that turns simple letters into a lifetime love of learning.
"Every letter holds a story waiting to be told — and every child has a story worth hearing."
