  • A set of color cards or flashcards matching the rug’s circle colors

  • Small beanbags or classroom tokens (optional)

How to Play:

  1. Gather Students:
    Have each child sit on a square or circle of their choice on the rug.

  2. Explain the Rules:
    Tell the children that you’ll call out a color, and they need to quickly find and stand on a square/circle of that color.

  3. Start the Game:

    • Hold up a color card or shout out a color.

    • Give students 5 seconds to find a square or circle that matches that color.

    • Once everyone is in place, check and celebrate their quick moves!

  4. Add Variety:

    • Beanbag Toss: Toss a beanbag on a color, and children must hop to that color.

    • Color Pairs: Call out two colors. Children must find and stand in pairs, each on a different color.

    • Fast-Change Challenge: Keep calling colors faster and faster!

  5. Wrap It Up:
