Description
The Airplane Activity Wall Panels are a five-panel busy board shaped like a bright blue airplane, with six different hands-on activities running nose to tail. Children slide beads along a wire, spin a rolling disc that makes a sound, work a magnetic block slider, trace and track shapes through a maze, move the hands on a learning clock, and turn a set of interlocking gears.
At nearly five and a half feet long, the airplane stretches across a wall and gives more than one child room to play side by side. Each station asks for a different movement, so children move down the panel discovering something new at every stop, all without using a square inch of floor space.

The length is what sets this one apart. Most activity panels are built for one child at a time, but the airplane spreads six stations across more than five feet of wall, so two or three children can work different activities without crowding each other. The learning clock and the gears also push a little further than pure sensory play, giving older toddlers and preschoolers an early taste of telling time and how connected parts move together.
Where These Work Best
Mounted along a playroom or bedroom wall at a child's height, the airplane turns a blank stretch of wall into a six-station activity center without taking up any floor space. With one or two children using it and a parent nearby, the stations get explored thoroughly and the panel holds up well to everyday play. The bold airplane shape makes it a natural centerpiece children return to on their own.
The extra length earns its keep here. In a home daycare or small in-home program where a handful of children share the space and an adult is always present, two or three children can play side by side at different stations, which makes it a natural setting for early sharing and turn-taking. Wall mounting keeps the floor clear for other activities.
Each station calls for a different hand movement, and the clock and gears add an early-math layer on top of the fine-motor work. For a parent guiding a home learning or therapy routine, that mix allows several skills to be practiced in one sitting, in a format children read as play rather than a lesson.

Cleaning Your Waiting Area Toys
Keeping waiting area toys clean is simple when you use the right products. Our wall toys and activity panels are built with smooth, hard surfaces specifically designed to clean quickly and safely alongside other high-contact surfaces in your facility.
We recommend hospital-grade disinfectant wipes such as those from the PDI line, which are widely used in medical, dental, and therapy settings. When choosing a disinfectant wipe for your waiting area toys, look for the following:
| Effective against germs | Choose wipes that clearly state effectiveness against common bacteria and viruses. This information is listed on the packaging based on the wipe's active ingredients. |
| Safe for children and staff | Look for wipes labeled safe for use in environments where children are present. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, including any hand-washing recommendations after use. |
| Low odor and low residue | Modern disinfectant wipes are designed to clean thoroughly without leaving harsh chemical fumes or irritating residue, making them ideal for enclosed spaces like waiting rooms and therapy clinics. |
| Fast drying | Most hospital-grade wipes air dry within approximately 90 seconds, allowing toys to be returned to use immediately with minimal downtime for your staff. |
| Surface compatible | Always confirm the wipe is appropriate for the surface being cleaned. Some formulations are not recommended for certain finishes, so checking the label prevents surface damage over time. |
| Environmentally conscious | Many disinfectant wipes are now made with biodegradable materials and reduced chemical concentrations, offering strong cleaning performance with a lower environmental footprint. |
Using the right disinfectant wipes keeps your waiting area toys clean, safe, and ready for the next child, while protecting both your patients and your staff. If you have questions about cleaning a specific product, we are always happy to help at help@sensoryedge.com or 800-734-8019.
