Description

The Motor Letters Lowercase Set provides visual, tactile and kinesthetic experiences required to learn how to print and draw. The button moves smoothly along the path of the shape allowing the child to perform the movement and visually track the path of the movement.

This learning tool is used in classrooms and has proven to be especially helpful to very young children and special needs children with motor deficits. By placing the index finger of the writing hand on the eye of the grommet, the child can easily follow along the path of the shape.

Size: Letters 4"W x 5"H

LEARNING GOALS: Teaches the child the actual muscular movements required to print and draw. In coordinating visual tracking with hand movements, this multi-sensory approach helps the child form strong mental images of the nature of each letter, number or shape.

The underlying teaching method is called "patterning" whereby the child's muscular movements are being "guided" by an external force, in this case the button moving along the path of the shape.

Lowercase Motor Letters

I really like this set. As the children trace the letters with their finger their hand movement is more natural than the set with the magnetic
wand and ball. This set is also easier for "Little Fingers" to manipulate. My fourteen month old granddaughter is already
trying to trace the letters with her finger. glad now that I didn't purchase the other lowercase set.

Letters upper & Lower case

My grandchildren could not wait to use this activity. We had them tell us the name of the letter, demonstrate how to make it & then make its sound. It is a great way to use kinetic learning.
