Fine Motor Section

Improving fine motor skills are an essential part of your child’s learning and development. With this in mind, SensoryEdge offers a wide variety of fun toys and activities designed to help improve fine motor abilities. Many of the toys and therapy products on our site will improve a child’s fine motor skills.

Fine motor skills will help children throughout their daily lives. They use them to turn handles, manipulate small objects, push buttons, lace their shoes, button their pants, close a snap, and eventually to write their name. All of these self help skills and writing skills start with the simple task of learning to place a puzzle piece, trace a letter, or stack a block. Give your child a variety of toys and rotate them often to keep them interested and engaged.
